LET'S DROP THE ACT TOGETHER

Hiring season is months away, and you're up against a formidable foe.

That's the stuff of drama, isn't? How do we, after all, stand out in the hiring market against something as big and overwhelming as AI? And when we're lucky to land an interview, what then?

I'm launching a course in September. I'm going to teach you how to use acting techniques to set a major goal (i.e., getting a new job) and use tactics and special techniques to actually get it.

Who do I think I am?

I use the acting techniques I learned in college, used on stage and in audition rooms, and have used throughout my life to develop a three-part system to help you overcome obstacles, achieve goals, and show up as your best self when the chips are down. I've given talks in 4 countries with business professionals at all levels, from owner to employee, as well as parents and others looking for a new way to get shit done.

The Methodology

Set Your Super Objective

The endgame, everything you're striving for, be it in a project at work, with your family, or something grander. Define it, make it specific, and let it be your guiding light throughout the process.

Plan Your Scene Work

Every goal takes steps, or scenes. Like in a play or a movie. Determine your first scene and its immediate objective -- the smaller goal that you can accomplish now to get you closer to the big one -- and how you'll achieve it through specific, methodical action.

Add a Little Mustard

Figure out what extra tactics you can layer onto your approach so you can show up not just as your best self but as your most authentic, open, and honest self, without losing an ounce of your proactivity.

How can you use this?

Writing your cover letter

Screenwriters aren't the only people who can use a three- or four-act structure. Your cover letter tells a story, so tell a great one.

In the interview process

Three people discussing papers at a table in a cafe.

You have a clear objective: Get hired in the room at a number you can accept. That means you need to come ready to sell yourself.

On the ladder upward

You have the job, but now you want the raise. You want to ace the sales conference presentation. You want to hold the room with peers. How do you show up as your best self and get those things?

So, let's do this thing.

Signing up doesn't just get you on the waitlist. It also gets you a copy of my free PDF, HOW TO DROP THE ACT, and, more importantly, access to me. How?
